Question by BT: How to discover a neighborhood farm that produces eggs/dairy in a much less cruel way?
Is there a website that has links to local farms or webpages? I know organic farms are less cruel, but probably only marginally so. I attempted PETA’s web site, just could not discover anything. I am in BC, Canada, btw.

old hens that are too old to generate price-effectivly any longer are shipped off have their heads cutt off then dropped in scalding water. sometimes the head-chopping machine misses one particular and its droped alive in the scalding water. to turn out to be de-feathered. and turned into stewing chickens
not even hens raised in 100% organic free of charge-variety nation fresh air farms are given a retirement plan, and simply carted off for the same fate all other chickens have.
if paying eight$ a carton for eggs makes you really feel much better. go for it. but you arnt a greater individual for the cost.
