How is organic farming beneficial?

Question by student: How is organic farming beneficial?
I have my geography exam some days later. I have been offered this question by the teacher and some other questions as well. I have located the answers to some of them in my geography book. But I can not uncover the correct answer to this question. In my book it is not written how it is valuable. But there it is written about a project (organic farming) conducted by an organization and it is written that how that project worked. I need the answer really urgently. Please aid me. And thanks for helping me in advance!

Organic farming gives alternative for buyers, provides revenue for little family members farms (helps small business), preserves normal sources by stopping soil erosion, employing few dangerous pesticides and not aiding in the distribution of genetically modified foods which have been linked to birth defects, cancer and species mutations in pests and plants alike.

all types of agriculture have impacts on the environment. The impacts on health are fairly significantly the exact same as typical farming except the pesticides utilized in organics could be somewhat much less hazardous.
